Please be aware that if you neglected to send your Original Contract in than you may notice a delay in your paycheck. The company will NOT disperse your check to you until they have received it. SOME QUESTIONS WHAT DETERMINES MY RATE OF PAY? You are paid per minute of talk time. You are required to work 10 hours a week and to log on to the system on 2 of the 4 high pay days. (The 1st or 2nd and the 16th or 17th). What does the company mean by the rate of pay is reduced by $.05 a minute perpay period if the Contractor does not take a call on the 1st or 2nd of each month and again on the 16th or 17th of each month? That means that you are required to log on at the beginning of each Networks payperiod the 1st or 2nd and the 16th or 17th and take at least 1 call or your pay is deducted .05 Cents per Minute (which .05cents x 60 minutes = $3 an hour). So if you choose not to work on the 1st or 2nd that means your pay will be reduced $3 an hour until the next pay period which will be the 16th or 17th. The company does this to make sure people are using their extensions. The Network is also able to determine how many active readers there are so they know how much they can advertise. They are trying to keep tabs on the amount of working readers there are so they can book their media accordingly. WHERE IN THE HELL IS MY PAYCHECK? If you are new to the system, you probably missed the start of the pay period. What this means is that your checks will come to you during the next one. And yes, in some cases this results in the first check finally arriving 4 weeks from the start. On the flip side, once the check start coming in they will be regular. In the event you leave permanently, your checks will continue to be delivered . It all evens out. Did you work at least 61 minutes during the payperiod? Did you mail your W-9 in? If you have been in the system for at least one full pay cycle (1 month) and your check hasn't arrived, then by all means contact us immediately! This will get resolved. MY PAYCHECK ISN'T ADDING UP? WHY? If your paycheck seems like it should be more, look at the pay period and check it with your call sheets. If it still is low make sure that you have taken calls on the 1st, 2nd, & 16th, 17th as stated in the guidelines. It should be recorded on your call sheets and the ones you sent in.) The Network is a stickler for this and if you do not adhere to this your pay will only be a loss of $3.00 \hr for all hours worked during that pay period. Failing to meet the 10\hr a week minimum yields the same result. ONCE YOUR INSUSPENSION, HOW DO YOU GET OUT? Usually they suspend you until the end of that particular pay period & then you are able to get online for the new pay period. If it's for NOT turning in Log Sheets, they may suspend you until they get the log sheets in. CONTACT US IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU,VE BEEN SUSPENDED UNFAIRLY. Also, do I understand you to say that if our average call time drops below 10 hours a payperiod that we will not be paid? The pay has nothing to do with how many hours you work. As long as you get at least 2 hours worth of calls in on the first or second day of each pay period, you'll earn the highest pay per call regardless of how many hours you work. But, I do want to make a point. You are required to work 10 hours per payperiod & unless you have informed us that your on vacation or something, you will probably either get suspended or fired if you do not work the required 10 hours per payperiod. Also, since I was not hired until after the pay period began am I getting the lower or higher rate of pay per minute?? If you did not take any calls because of whatever reason on the First 2 days of the pay period, then you will make the lower pay per minute UNTIL the new pay period starts & then you'll have to take 2 hours worth of calls on the first 2 days of the new pay period to lock in your higher pay per minute for the rest of that pay period. HOW ARE CANADIEN WORKERS PAID Canadian people have a good deal, and it makes them good money too. We pay them in American money and they get it translated. It works out o $1.50 more per hour on the exchange rate. So, if they make 11 an hour, its really $12.50 for them. Why do I have to submit my SS Number if no taxes are taken out? Legally we need a photo copy of your State ID or Driver's License & Social Security Card for a few different reasons. 1.) To verify that you are who you say you are. 2.) To verify that you are authorized to work in the USA. 3.) Employment Laws require all companies to obtain this information. You will have to fill out a W-9 1199 Tax Form as an Independent Contractor & your SS Card & ID will be sent into the IRS along with your Tax Form. Although you do not get taxes taken out of your check, this still is a legal job & you will have to claim taxes yourself at the end of the year. How come I must work at least 60 minutes a week to receive a check? [PAY] Payroll is a hassle. The best thing to do is work the hours you are suppose to anyway. 1 hour a week won't do anybody any good. And I understand why because when you have to do payroll for thousands of readers and one person does not work at least an hour, by the time the check is issues and a stamp is used you have paid for that one reader twice.. Do I still get paid if I log off and then another call comes thru? You will get paid for every call. What has happened is the network was sending you a call during the same time that you were logging off.
