NEW READERS

1. DO THEY MONITOR MY CALLS? [NEW READERS]

No! The Psychic Network is a totally anonymous line. No one listens in on any of the calls. However, it is possible that you might get a test call. The test calls are only to insure that you are giving out the 900 number. The 900 number must be given out within the first two minutes of every call.

2. HOW CAN A CHRISTIAN DO THIS JOB? [NEW READERS]

As I said above, many born again Christians do this job using the bible only. Who did Jesus walk among? He walked with the sinners not the people who are sitting in Churches. Did God say there was any place where the Bible could NOT be preached? No, He did not! Many people who call this line need guidance and just someone to talk to.

3. DO THE LOGSHEETS DETERMINE MY PAY? [NEW READERS]

You get a 25 cent bonus for every name and address you capture. The main computer tracks every call that comes to your phone. The company does ask that you capture 70% of names and addresses.

4. ARE THE HANG-UPS COUNTED TO DETERMINE MY CALL AVERAGE? [NEW READERS]

Yes! All hang ups are included when determining your call average. Every call is counted when you are figuring out out your call average. If a callers is only on for 1/2 a minute or 1 minutes it is still counted as a call. When you do get a talker on the line don't be to quick to let the call go, these are the calls that make up for the hang-ups.

5. HOW IMPORTANT IS MY FIRST NIGHT? [NEW READERS]

Your first night is really your test to see if you can work the psychic line successfully. If you have a high call average stay logged on, show the company that you do want to work. If you need a break log off but after your break log back on. Our main goal is to see you succeed. Follow everything your manager tells you and read everything on the website. If your call average is low log off and call your manager the next day. He/she will work with you to get your average up. Read everything on this website, the website was built to help you succeed.

6. DO I HAVE TO LIE OR DECEIVE PEOPLE? [NEW READERS]

Absolutely NOT! No one is asking you to lie or deceive anyone. The callers want some kind of a reading, how you give the reading is up to you. We do not promote any evil or harmful advise. A psychic means anyone with intuition which we all have, it does not mean we talk to the dead nor would we promote it.

7. WHY DO THEY ASK ME TO START AFTER MIDNIGHT? [NEW READERS]

We want all the new readers to get quality callers. The best time to begin is midnight EST. If that is inconvenient, the very early mornings are just as good. Do not ever take your first call in the middle of the afternoon.

8. DO I NEED A SECOND LINE? [NEW READERS]

Not if you can manage your time without letting personal calls interfere with the system calls. However, you must have a regular residential telephone line, without any features such as call waiting, call forwarding or voice mail. Your phone must be completely free without features.

9. WHEN CAN I TAKE CALLS? [NEW READERS]

Calls are available to be forwarded 24 hours a day , 7 days a week. You simply log on the computer when you want to work and log off when you want to stop. There are no sales involved. The sale is made when they place the call. We ask that you start after midnight EST for the first two days.

10. WHAT'S INVOLVED AND HOW I SOON CAN I START? [NEW READERS]

There is no investments to be made. The only thing we ask for is your time. Within two to three days you will be assigned an extension number and password. Once you receive that you are ready to go.

11. HOW CAN I DO THIS? [NEW READERS]

Easy! You will need to learn some kind of diversion, Tarot Cards, Astrology, Numerology, or just a nature gift. We help everyone learn how to give professional readings. It really doesn't take any great talents, many born again, Christians work the line and succeed by using the bible. We do expect everyone to be respectful and professional to the callers.

12. HOW DOES IT WORK? [NEW READERS]

The Network forwards calls to your system phone number through their computer system. Therefore, no one can trace any calls to you, or knows who and where you are.

CALL MINUTE AVERAGES

1. If the company does a Test call and hangs up in 3 minutes, does it count against your call average? [CALL AVERAGE]

Yes. Every call that comes from the network counts in your call avg.. even if it's a 20 second call.

2. If it does, how many Test calls can they make on your extension on any given call session? [CALL AVERAGE]

Nobody knows. Test calls are so secretive, not even I know that, but they are not going to call you over & over again to mess up your average.

3. How am I supposed to improve my average if they won't give me any calls? [CALL AVERAGE]

If you have an average of under 20 mins for a day that means that the next day you won't get a lot of calls. The people with 15-20 min. averages & above get the calls - it's all run by a computer too.

4. Besides, I thought I was doing good- with the exception of the first day but I thought it would be understandable because it was my first day. [CALL AVERAGE]

The network's computer decides who gets the calls by how good your average was for the previous day weather you are new or not, that's just the way it works.

5. Also, if we are not getting calls, are we supposed to stay logged on until we get a 20 minute average no matter how long that takes? [CALL AVERAGE]

Yes, if you want a good call average. But, that's only if your call average is below 20 mins & you want to get more calls than you are getting now.

6. I have been logged on for about 3 hours tonight and I have only received 2 phone calls, why is that? [CALL AVERAGE]

The calls are going to go to the person that is logged on with the 18 minutes or above average first, before your phone rings. Remember do not log off until you have at least the 18 min. average, or your phone will not ring like it should.

7. I don't know what happened tonight. I was on from 2:55am - 4:18am and I only received one call- which only lasted nine minutes. When I logged off...I waited two minutes and logged back on at 4:21am- 4:43am and I got nothing.

Ok, now, you said that the day before you only had a 13 min. average... that's probably why you didn't get that many calls the next day... You were just lucky the day after your first day with the 13 min. avg.. to get calls every two mins, usually that won't happen if you had a low average the pervious day, unless the lines are very busy.

8. I keep getting 3-5 minute calls and the people hang up. [CALL AVERAGE]

This happens for a variety of reasons. Some callers are looking for a full reading, etc, but they want all this included in their free minutes. I've done enough readings to know that a good reading and counseling session takes longer. If you come across bland in your initial greeting, your caller will form this mental picture of you that may be unfavorable, and you'll probably lose the call. Since the caller can't see you they have to decide to continue the reading based on what they hear and the picture you paint. Try to put yourself in the callers shoes. If I were the caller I would expect a good reading but I would tend to be as captivated be a good phone personality as well and not likely to hang up. In fairness I will say that there are just some people out there that are only looking for their free promotional minutes. No matter what you say to these people - they'll still hang up. My thoughts here are that if they aren't going to take the call more serious than that, then I would just as soon get on to someone who does want my help - no love lost!

9. Calls are not coming in very fast. I am waiting forever between calls. [CALL AVERAGE]

If you are waiting too long between calls try switching your schedule a bit. Peak calling hours are as follows (Eastern Standard Time):
Mon-Fri 9am-11:30am (Spouse's go to work and the other is left to think, so they call.) 1pm-4:30pm (Noon hour rush is over and guess who's back on the phone!) Midnight - 5am (These are usually the best callers who need help and will stay on the phones since they are usually alone at this time.)
Weekends This is a bit like playing the lottery. It's either everyone or no one. If your call average is high (over 19 minutes or so) you'll get the calls nonetheless.

10. How can I increase my call average?
[CALL AVERAGE]

Your readings will usually increase in length if you add two mini readings by using two methods. (Like a little numerology and tarot both during the same reading.) This tends to keep it interesting for the caller and not so "dry" in some cases. It would be a different situation if it were live one on one in a room, but over the phone is a little different. Once the energy flows then the reading will smooth right out. (And - Yes! Energy does flow over Ma Bell!)

11. Are you saying that if we have an average below 20 minutes per call that we will not get calls? [CALL AVERAGE]

You will not get as many calls as the people who have good (20 min) call averages. The company wants you to keep an average of 15 -20 minutes or more per call. What happens is the computer decides who gets the calls first.... And the people with the highest averages get call after call after call. If you have a lower average, you won't get that many calls... so you'll need to pick up your average. I suggest over 20 min. per call, if you want to get call after call after call.

CUSTOMER SERVICE


1. Do we have a toll free customer service number? [CUSTOMER SERVICE]

No unfortunately we dont.

2. What do you say to a caller who has a billing question? [CUSTOMER SERVICE]

I honestly believe that we get all of these callers! You should explain to them that all I do is the readings and that all billing is done elsewhere. In the ridiculous menu they heard prior to calling you, there was most likely an option they could have chosen to deal with this.

3. What is the customer service number?

4. What if a customer calls and they tell me they got a bill they dont want to pay? [CUSTOMER SERVICE]

Any billing questions must be referred to our customer service department at (402)573-9840. Ask them for their name and address and note it on your logsheets as a customer complaint. If it ends up they dont pay, this does not affect your pay.


EXTENSION NUMBERS

1. Do I have to use my real name? [EXTENSION NUMBERS]

NO! But is you use a stage name, please let us know so we can tie it with your extension number.

2. What is my password? [EXTENSION NUMBERS]

It is usually the last 5 digits of the system phone number.

3. I cannot log into the system. What should I do? [EXTENSION NUMBERS]

If you've double checked your extension (personal identification number) and password (normally the last five digits of your system phone number), contact us immediately.
New ones will be issued if necessary.

4. When do I get my extension number? [EXTENSION NUMBERS]

In 1-3 days after you send us your application and your contract has been faxed in.

5. How do I get my extension number? [EXTENSION NUMBERS]

By e-mail. If you do not receive it within 3 days then send an email to us reminding us you are still waiting for it.

6. When I get my extension number when can I start to work? [EXTENSION NUMBERS]

Immediately. The company likes you to log on within 48 hours of receiving it if possible.

7. Am I under a time constraint when I receive my extension? Or if Im still not comfortable and need to go through the printouts for the next week or so, can I? (Do I need to use my extension number immediately, is what I am wondering). [EXTENSION NUMBERS]

You can take up to a week to review the material.

HINTS

Naturally, given the freedom to set your own hours, work when ever you want to. Yes, temptation is strong to take the day off and try to make up for the lost hours tomorrow. you need to learn to discipline yourself. So, pace yourself.

SO YOU DON'T THINK YOU'RE A PSYCHIC READER: WELL, RELAX! NEITHER DID ANY OF OUR SUCCESSFUL READERS. Our lines are for ADULT ENTERTAINMENT ONLY. If you feel about as psychic as a wet noodle...IT DOES NOT MATTER...WE ALL HAVE INTUITION AND COMMON SENSE...Have you ever had a relationship problem? Well so do about 75% of our callers. Where is my true love? Is my boy/girl friend cheating on me? Are we going to get married? Do they love me? When will they call me? I am cheating on my spouse...You will find that most of our clients do not have a good friend to talk to. THEY WILL TAKE WHAT YOU SAY VERY SERIOUSLY. Try to protect the family if there is NO abuse. Abuse is allowed to continue from a low self-esteem of the victim. Please use your referral numbers as well as giving the victim hope and a better sense of themselves.

The biggest concern of all new readers, is how to find out WHY they called and HOW do I get them talking about it...I believe that there is a reason that they called NOW!!! If you ask them directly - 'Why did you call?' - it ruins the illusion that you are PSYCHIC. It will also cost you many minutes on line.

If you develop your AURA reading, your call will last at least 20 to 60 minutes. I pick up the aura colors from the energy of your voice. (The colors that you use do not matter. Blue can be dark red and so.) It is the issue that you touch on that allows our client to believe in you and then open up and start talking. If you touch on each of the major areas of life; you will touch on the reason they called. If you touch on the LEAST COMMON AREAS FIRST, you can teach your client life skills as well as finding out their problem area.

In the blue, I will take a caller and teach them HOW to make a decision and so on. They will begin to open up to you. Once you tell them that you see a problem in a certain area - You can then feel free to ask them any questions about that area. From this point on, it is basically just carrying on a conversation with a friend. Do you try to make your friend feel better? Make them laugh and so on...

If you get stuck, confused, or upset with any area of your calls? Before you throw up your hands and walk away from a terrific occupation in your own home, CALL YOUR MANAGER!! That is what your Manager is there for. If you need an answer? Your Manager (COACH) will have it or find it for you. This is a job to be enjoyed so RELAX and had FUN with it.

BE A PSYCHIC LINE SURVIVOR: You can be a psychic line survivor. All it takes is to be a good listener and a fast thinker. Many people who do not believe in Tarot Cards or Astrology have done great on the psychic line. Being perceptive to other people's feelings is not a sin, in fact, God wants us to be perceptive and to feel for other people. It is not that hard to pick up on how the caller feels; that's called "listening." Being able to help people by answering their questions is called "thinking." The two really do go together. Just apply these two abilities and you too can be a psychic line survivor. Please stop by the "Reader's Guide" page.

YOUR FIRST NIGHT: We ask that every new person begins working after midnight EST. It is important to us that you get the best quality calls. We ask that you log on after midnight for the first three nights. If you have taken more than seven calls and your average is under 15 minutes, log off. Call you manager the next working day. Your manager will work with you to get your average up. If your average is over 15 minutes stay logged on and continue to taking calls.

If you need a break you must log off the system. Be sure that your phone has NO features on it, if you are unsure do not log on. It is helpful to have a headset phone to keep your hands free while doing reading. If you do not have a headset, you can buy one very inexpensively at Wal-Mart. Some of you might think it's difficult to keep a 17 minute call average. It is not that hard, remember the customer is calling you. There are no sales to be made the sale was made when the customer picked up the phone to call you.

IF YOU BY CHANCE GET THREE HANG UP CALLS IN A ROW: Log off the system for 30 minutes. Then log back on, you will notice a difference in the quality of calls. You will have Hang-up calls, we all get them. You will have short readings. We all get them too. Do not worry about your call average. It will equal out I promise you.

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS: If you get a complaint call, get the reader's extension and the gist of the complaint and refer the caller to the Network customer service number.

LOG IN FREQUENTLY: Log in frequently, especially the peak hours of 9am-4pm and midnight to 5 am (eastern time). The worst time to work on the lines are from 4pm to midnight (eastern time). Until you are established, do not work during these hours.

CLIENT TALKING: You will find the client does a lot of talking. Doing a 20 minute reading is very easy to do, Remember they will also be talking, Let them interrupt you as many times as they like. This will lengthen your readings.

NEGATIVITY: If you should see "death" or "serious illness" in the cards, do not relay that information to the caller. More callers than you would think will take what you have to say to heart, and such information may cause someone to do something drastic. Refrain from giving callers legal advice; suggest that they contact a lawyer to fully explore their options. Attorneys will sometimes offer a free consultation, and Legal Aid is available to those within certain income levels.

PRETENDING: Do not pretend to be something you are not. We have found in our experience as a reader that most callers simply want someone to listen to them, and are willing to pay for that pleasure. Try to get the caller to open up to you by asking them questions. If the cards indicate the caller is pining away for a past love, ask them who that person is and what happened to the relationship. If a caller is telling you his/her story--LET THEM! Your job at this point is to simply be a quiet patient listener. Some callers will want to "test" your psychic skills. These callers will usually not open up to you right away, and when you ask them a question their response will often be "yes", "no", or "not really" with little or no elaboration. I've found that once you tell them 3 or 4 things that are right on the money, they will then start to participate in the reading and loosen up. I've turned several of these calls into 60-minute max calls, when initially I thought for sure that they would be gone within the first 5 minutes

CLIENT QUESTIONS: If they say to you, I just have a couple of questions to ask. Say hold that thought for a moment. Let see what is here for you, I promise this reading will answer all of your questions. (And it does!)

Be positive when you get a negative caller. Your not asked to promise the caller the world but you can offer an ear and a little advice. See if you can reach the person you are speaking to, it is also a know fact that it takes two to fight. Try to see if you can get them to figure out how to handle her own problem. This can be done.

You will get people who say they just want the free reading, try to ignore that and go on. Most of the time you can keep their interest. If not give them a general reading.

Remember, If you are having any problem areas we are all here to help you. Don't ever be afraid to ask. This like any other job, you have your good days and your bad. The glory of this is you can log off any time and then log back on when you are ready.

CLIENT NAMES: It's OK to say the persons name more that once. You will find that most people like to hear their names.

Be sensitive to their feelings, remember some people can also pick up on emotions in your voice too.

ASK QUESTIONS: Nearly every one of you is under the impression that if you ask the caller anything beyond their name, address, etc., they won't think you're a real psychic .

This isn't even realistic, neither on your part or on the part of the caller. No one can possibly know EVERYTHING about a caller. The day someone discovers that they have the ability, they will have the biggest show on television and be advising the President. They would also solve every crime and be barred from buying any lottery tickets because they would know all the winning numbers.

It's extremely important that you ask questions at appropriate times, such as:

"If your boss doesn't come through this your raise, even though the cards tell us that he will, what are your plans"?

"How long have you suspected this about your boyfriend"?

"At which point in your relationship did you first notice that things had begun to change"?

"You must have been devastated when that happened. How are you handling the situation now"?

"Are you able to get counseling"?

"How are the kids taking things"?

"Are you going to have to go to work if he doesn't come back"?

There are hundreds of this same kind of question that you should be asking every caller, but you don't because you think he/she thinks you should already know these things. This, of course, is nonsense. From time to time you will have someone who wants to know why you're asking questions and this explanation helps them to understand.

You could tell them, Life is not a script. Some people are under the impression that it is, and when they call, the expect you to read them their script. If this were the case, none of us would have any need for the decision-making part of our brain or for the ability to make choices. Everyday that we get up, we have many choices to make and any number of different roads that we could chose to travel. If you tell me which road you've chosen to travel, I can tell you what is at the end of it. But, the choice of the road is always yours.

If you don't like what is at the end of that road, you can change it and choose another. That's the advantage of talking to a psychic, being able to know ahead what's coming up and having the choice of continuing on or changing courses. So, when I ask you questions it helps you to get a better picture of where you've been, where you're going, and if you really want to stay on this path after I've point out the pitfalls of how it will wind up. Remember, very few things are written in stone. You have the power to change your life any time you choose. So loose your fear of asking questions: it's unfounded.
